Texas Roadhouse – Yas Mall

We made our way to Texas Roadhouse in the cascade dining area of Yas mall yesterday. Upon arrival, we were promptly seated outdoors as requested, with a pleasant view of the fountains. A few minutes into being seated, the fountain went off, dancing to a popular Amr Diab tune from the 90s. We enjoyed the fountain dance while we dove into the very delicious and fresh sweet bread served to us, and of course their signature snack – peanuts.

We had a very cheerful server, who was great throughout. For a table of two, we ordered the potato skins to start off with (oh so cheesy and bacon-y). I then went on to order a 10 oz. Ft. Worth Ribeye steak with sides of mashed potato and veggies, and an add-on of mushroom and caramelized onions. My steak was cooked to perfection – medium, as I requested. Part of me hoped that they had used fresh mushroom on the side instead of canned, but I can live with that since this is really a casual dining place in a mall, and not a top notch steakhouse, although the view and ambience almost made me believe otherwise :). My friend ordered the Sirloin steak combo with BBQ chicken. Their portions were more than decent and to my surprise, we couldn’t finish all our food.

We left without dessert – blasphemous I know, but in my defense, it was a schoolnight and it was getting quite late. Enjoy these pictures of our meal!
